With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Lång in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Kleen saved Mean Machine from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Herbert Lång ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Kleen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Casper Kleen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Lång's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Torsten Berglund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Åke Springfält. Gnaget AIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torsten Berglund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gnaget AIK made a substitution. Herman Abrahamsson replaced Elivélton Favoretto. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gnaget AIK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! Sven-Åke Springfält had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Tom Eriksson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

The wind increased when Mario Lemieux made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th match minute, Mean Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Berglund to maneuver through the defense. Mean Machine made a substitution. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gnaget AIK reached it. The corner ended in Karl-Oskar Beneth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mean Machine's Casper Kleen did a great save. Karl-Oskar Beneth was slow to take the kick. During this time Gnaget AIK's players had a chance to rest. After 74 played minutes Gnaget AIK got a freekick which was hit by Edu Gos. After having played for 75 minutes, Rune Anselius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mean Machine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Anselius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tom Eriksson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Åke Springfält. Gnaget AIK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sven-Åke Springfält showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Alebäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gnaget AIK were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Mean Machine's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl-Oskar Beneth took the corner. The corner ended in Mario Lemieux almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mean Machine's Casper Kleen did a great save. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Mario Lemieux put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Kleen. Sven-Åke Springfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Alebäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herman Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. After 98 played minutes Gnaget AIK got a freekick which was hit by Herman Abrahamsson. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gnaget AIK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
