After 3 played minutes Gnaget AIK got a freekick which was hit by Greger Grep. Sven-Åke Springfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Bohlin in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, IFK Söderköping's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Lång came free, but Stig Ahlerot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig Ahlerot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Lång, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Gnaget AIK got a freekick which was hit by Greger Grep. 19 minutes into the match, Herbert Lång had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stig Ahlerot. IFK Söderköping's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herbert Lång was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With splendid footwork Lars-Erik Widberg arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 28th minute. Stig Ahlerot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herbert Lång went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

Sven-Åke Springfält had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Torbjörn Bohlin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Torbjörn Bohlin did an outstanding performance 74 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-3 to the right of an irritated Sven-Åke Springfält in the goal. Gnaget AIK's Sven-Åke Springfält played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Bohlin in the 81st minute of play. Stig Ahlerot was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Mario Lemieux capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mario Lemieux really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. After 91 played minutes IFK Söderköping got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Bohlin. 95 minutes into the game, Per-Oskar Möller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Sven-Åke Springfält was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
