Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Bertil Henriksson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Digital Monsterz FC booed when IFK Söderköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Widberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eddie Flinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Ahlerot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Vassenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Bertil Skarkman managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when IFK Söderköping's Per-Oskar Möller fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 12 minutes into the match, Digital Monsterz FC's goalkeeper Bertil Skarkman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Holmstedt. IFK Söderköping were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Digital Monsterz FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Torbjörn Bohlin took the corner. IFK Söderköping's Torbjörn Bohlin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bertil Skarkman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Roland Holmstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Skarkman having to interfere. Torbjörn Bohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bertil Skarkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Torbjörn Bohlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ted Sandwall hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Henriksson in the 34th minute of play forced IFK Söderköping's goalkeeper Stig Ahlerot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Roland Holmstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Söderköping's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Holmstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertil Skarkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torbjörn Bohlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Grubb didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Bertil Henriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stig Ahlerot was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half Digital Monsterz FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torbjörn Bohlin to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, IFK Söderköping's Per-Oskar Möller made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertil Skarkman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Torbjörn Bohlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Per-Oskar Möller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th match minute, IFK Söderköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Sjödin to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute Torbjörn Bohlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Skarkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Roland Holmstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Söderköping's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Holmstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stig Ahlerot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gunnar Vassenius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 81 minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Eddie Flinck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stig Ahlerot. Eddie Flinck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. IFK Söderköping's Roland Holmstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes, Torbjörn Bohlin made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Digital Monsterz FC's Bertil Skarkman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Lars-Erik Widberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the IFK Söderköping fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars-Erik Widberg couldn't finish the play. The Digital Monsterz FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
