Henley Utd's Lars-Erik Wennerberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hans Hellström, made in the 4th minute of the game. Henley Utd's Benjamin Enegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordan Peterson in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th match minute, FC Kurdistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordan Peterson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Kurdistan getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jordan Peterson hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Salvador Ogazón made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, FC Kurdistan's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Ogazón came free, but Mats Elg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars-Erik Wennerberg hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes FC Kurdistan got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Haram. FC Kurdistan's Jari Litmanen was substituted for Marco Lio. After a rather tough play, FC Kurdistan's Hasan Haram got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute Jordan Peterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Enegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of FC Kurdistan echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Henley Utd had held the ball for most of the match.
