The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kent Delin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Fager in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Mountainhammer United booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Nickel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Emil Rosén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hartlepool and the Mountainhammer United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute Bengt Stålman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Munter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Delin made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Fabian Fager sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Fabian Fager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Delin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Dum hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Kent Rang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Munter was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 65thth minute of the game Kent Rang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hartlepool's Martin Munter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Hartlepool's Martin Munter got control of the ball when Harry Arvidsson tried to sneak it across the goal line.
