With his leg Martin Munter managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Surahammar's Fredric Olsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jens-Åke Bank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Fager went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niklas Nickel in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Åke Bank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jens-Åke Bank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isac Bålström went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Carl Qvarnström took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens-Åke Bank. Jens-Åke Bank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.
In the 52nd minute of the match, Fabian Fager tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens-Åke Bank saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Niklas Nickel came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jens-Åke Bank could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottfrid Rang in the 75th minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Martin Munter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Gottfrid Rang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hartlepool's Martin Munter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goalkeeper Jens-Åke Bank had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Qvarnström. In the 80th minute, Carl Qvarnström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jens-Åke Bank. The goal made the score 1-6. 83 minutes into the game, Fabian Fager recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jens-Åke Bank. Fabian Fager showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. Niklas Nickel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jens-Åke Bank made a huge save. Hartlepool played a much better game than Surahammar and deserved their victory. The Surahammar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
