After a rather tough play, Ytterby FF's Morgan Apelquist got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Valentin Åkerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Vesterberg in the 4th minute of play. Simon Hellkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Hellkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Simon Hellkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Rank 1's Conny Vesterberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Åkerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Valentin Åkerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Antonini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Åkerberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conny Vesterberg's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Dick Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Conny Vesterberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Åkerberg was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Ytterby FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Apelquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Åkerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conny Vesterberg in the 33rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Conny Vesterberg made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Åkerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conny Vesterberg in the 53rd minute of the match. John Lövkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Lövkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 55 minutes into the game, one of Rank 1:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Ytterby FF. Simon Hellkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcus Hagström. 1-1. After 63 minutes, Fabiano Antonini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rank 1 and the Ytterby FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabiano Antonini hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Rank 1's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Brolin came free, but Marcus Hagström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match Conny Vesterberg climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Valentin Åkerberg. After a defensive mix-up in Ytterby FF's zone, Fredric Åhman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Åkerberg came out of the goal and Fredric Åhman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Åkerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Vesterberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rank 1's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fredric Åhman in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Rank 1's Fabiano Antonini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Åkerberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Conny Vesterberg struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Valentin Åkerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rank 1. After 83 played minutes Ytterby FF got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Ahlkvist. After a defensive mix-up in Ytterby FF's zone, Fabiano Antonini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Åkerberg came out of the goal and Fabiano Antonini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, Ytterby FF's goalkeeper Valentin Åkerberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conny Vesterberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Antonini in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Åkerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustav Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Ytterby FF's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Vesterberg came free, but Valentin Åkerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Åkerberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabiano Antonini in the 95th minute. The Ytterby FF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rank 1 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
