In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match AIK FOTBOLL got a corner. Baxters Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Viggo Harlén ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Viggo Harlén got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Börje Albohm quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 23 minutes into the game, Staffan Åman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baxters Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK FOTBOLL the free kick. A collision led to Baxters Boys getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Staffan Åman hit a great ball. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Guidetti in the 27th minute of play. Arne Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Guidetti in the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Elof Hedin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AIK FOTBOLL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With his leg Arne Kilström managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Baxters Boys's John Guidetti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Baxters Boys booed when AIK FOTBOLL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Dahlqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evert Dahlqvist was the one to do the kick off. Börje Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Skålberg in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Novella in the 59th minute of play forced AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Arne Kilström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evert Dahlqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Börje Albohm made a huge save. In the 61st minute, Viggo Harlén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AIK FOTBOLL's Fredrik Axelsson was substituted for Elof Hedin. Baxters Boys made a substitution. Robert Hermansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Börje Albohm made a huge save. 95 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goal looked a bit too open when Uzay Gencalp came free, but Arne Kilström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AIK FOTBOLL walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
