The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jörgen Magnusson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Börje Albohm made a huge save. With a little luck, Baxters Boys's Börje Albohm got control of the ball when Jörgen Magnusson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Martin Ødegaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linghed Angels FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baxters Boys the free kick. Baxters Boys's Uzay Gencalp was substituted for Staffan Åman. In the 13th match minute, Linghed Angels FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Ødegaard to maneuver through the defense. Tim Soned's late challenge caught a Linghed Angels FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Soned helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Tim Soned hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Linghed Angels FC booed when Baxters Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uzay Gencalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Algot Ennegren came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Baxters Boys's Kevin Skarkman. But to his dismay, Kevin Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Askestät. Ove Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Ove Hellström did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Börje Albohm 38 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Uzay Gencalp came free, but Algot Ennegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Algot Ennegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Uzay Gencalp went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Linghed Angels FC's Ove Hellström got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Börje Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Hellström in the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Frank McLintock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Magnusson came free, but Börje Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Ove Hellström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Börje Albohm was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Magnusson in the 76th minute of play forced Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Baxters Boys's Uzay Gencalp dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. When Kurt Askestät came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Linghed Angels FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Askestät couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Linghed Angels FC's Jörgen Magnusson got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Hellström in the 86th minute of play forced Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
