But to his dismay, Harry Sjö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's Lennart Zander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bixente Poli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bixente Poli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlinhos Félix in the 18th minute. Valter Klack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Euloxu in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Here Comes the Hammer's zone, Victorino Euloxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Klack came out of the goal and Victorino Euloxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valter Klack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 41 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Euloxu came free, but Valter Klack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Harry Sjö came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kingpins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Sjö couldn't finish the play. Valter Klack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josep Casanova, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos Félix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Here Comes the Hammer's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramiro Estavan who took care of the corner kick. Kingpins's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
