Ernest Gheorghiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Sabin Enache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornel Chiriloaie. In the 8th minute, Cornel Chiriloaie made a precise shot to the right of Sabin Enache. FC ciufulici's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 11th match minute, LIVERPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Mititelu to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Cornel Chiriloaie reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sabin Enache. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Martinaș in the 20th minute of play forced FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Sabin Enache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornel Chiriloaie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Sabin Enache skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Cornel Chiriloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mircea Gheție could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Sabin Enache made a huge save. After 29 played minutes FC ciufulici got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Gheorghiu. Ionel Arghirescu charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ionel Arghirescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, LIVERPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Arghirescu to maneuver through the defense. Ernest Gheorghiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Bunescu having to interfere. FC ciufulici's Sabin Enache proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FC ciufulici from getting a goal against them. Ernest Gheorghiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Bunescu having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Manuel Tremurici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Bunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Chiriloaie charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornel Chiriloaie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cornel Chiriloaie hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Vali Puric's late challenge caught a FC ciufulici's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Puric helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC ciufulici booed when LIVERPOOL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Puric didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 55th minute, Martin Buteanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernest Gheorghiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes LIVERPOOL FC got a freekick which was hit by Robert Horia. FC ciufulici's Iustin Şerbănoiu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dorel Bunescu but with some difficulty. Dorel Bunescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Tremurici, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Irinel Țâpus short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Dorel Bunescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 73rd match minute, LIVERPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Martinaș to maneuver through the defense. After 75 minutes, Manuel Tremurici mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ciufulici and the LIVERPOOL FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC ciufulici's Manuel Tremurici got a free kick in the 75th minute. Martin Buteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Mircea Gheție fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LIVERPOOL FC's protests and gave Mircea Gheție a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL FC's Mircea Gheție got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Irinel Țâpu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorel Bunescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in LIVERPOOL FC's zone, Irinel Țâpu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorel Bunescu came out of the goal and Irinel Țâpu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC ciufulici's attentive Șerban Greavu managed to snatch the ball when Gavril Ţintă made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Sabin Enache came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by LIVERPOOL FC's Martin Buteanu. But to his dismay, Martin Buteanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Many of FC ciufulici's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC ciufulici may have spent more time on the ball, but LIVERPOOL FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
