The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustinian Petre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Mugur Siniştean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Petrică Ţirpescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unicorns ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Ţirpescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Obreja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute Nelson Mendoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calistrat Mihalcea hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes, Nelson Mendoza made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 37th minute of play. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafet Faydalı, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Corneliu Hurezeanu's late challenge caught a Unicorns ™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corneliu Hurezeanu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Corneliu Hurezeanu got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson Mendoza was the one to do the kick off. Corneliu Vulpăşin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Therkild Prendorf showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Therkild Prendorf kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Corneliu Vulpăşin. That made the score 0-4 in the 68 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Rafet Faydalı managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC STEAUA's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafet Faydalı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Vulpăşin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 87 minutes, Hermengildo Jobo made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Bodea in the 91st minute of play forced UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper Ernest Obreja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Jobo scored 0-6 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurel Huștiu during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Huștiu. When the match was over UFC STEAUA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Unicorns ™ throughout the match.
