Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Spineanu started the match with the kick off. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ivan Spineanu hit a great ball. Sebastian Fenici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cosmin Galiceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nae Pavel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dănuț Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when U Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Fenici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nae Pavel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Buzgar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Horea Frumușanu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Cosmin Galiceanu to make any attempt to save it. Sebastian Fenici's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Cosmin Galiceanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, U Craiova's Denis Milcoveanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cosmin Galiceanu. Cosmin Galiceanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Nae Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iona Tudora in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, U Craiova's Avram Blaga got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 44th minute, Iona Tudora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Fenici stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cosmin Galiceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Cârstoiu in the 52nd minute of play. Dorin Cârstoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Cristinel Ulici. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dănuț Roman in the 62nd minute of play forced U Craiova's goalkeeper Nae Pavel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U Craiova's Nae Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dănuț Roman in the 64th minute of play. Dănuț Roman spun around in front of the goal 64 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of U Craiova's goal. In the 67th minute Cristinel Ulici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Dragoș during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. U Craiova's Nae Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dănuț Roman in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Ivan Spineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dorin Cârstoiu fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U Craiova's protests and gave Dorin Cârstoiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, one of -BZF- Valea Buzăului:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for -BZF- Valea Buzăului. In the 85th minute, Udegbunam Ike made a precise shot to the right of Cosmin Galiceanu. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Denis Milcoveanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosmin Galiceanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. U Craiova were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Udegbunam Ike took the corner. The crowd rose to their feet as Ionică Buzgar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nae Pavel. That made the score 4-1 in the 98 minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, U Craiova could leave the field as winners, despite -BZF- Valea Buzăului having more of the ball for most of the match.
