Bogdan Lobonț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valeriu Aanuţei in the 3rd minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Valeriu Aanuţei in the 12th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bogdan Lobonț was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for F.C CLUJ MEDICINA through an amazing save. 13 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luca Albulescu. Ionică Rădulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Ovidiu Voicescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA defense, Ionică Rădulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogdan Lobonț. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Lobonț should have stopped the shot. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Aanuţei in the 22nd minute of the match. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Aanuţei in the 23rd minute of play. Dragoş Braniște made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Agachi in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Eusebiu Corvin got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriu Aanuţei in the 38th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Aanuţei in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narcis Agachi to make the kick off. In the 61st minute Narcis Agachi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoş Braniște saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leontin Teodoreanu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes F.C CLUJ MEDICINA got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Teodoreanu. In the 64th minute of the match Luca Albulescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Lobonț showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when LIVIUS UNITED MLS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Rădulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Albulescu in the 67th minute of play. Luca Albulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bogdan Lobonț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Calistrat Potopea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Boroș in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Lobonț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 74 played minutes F.C CLUJ MEDICINA got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Voicescu. In the 76th match minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Bucurescu to maneuver through the defense. Dragoş Braniște made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Potopea in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Iustin Udup was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C CLUJ MEDICINA the free kick. In the 79th minute, Iustin Udup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of LIVIUS UNITED MLS:s goal. Bogdan Lobonț had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Luca Albulescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Boroș, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Boroș came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Luca Albulescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bogdan Lobonț. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Albulescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LIVIUS UNITED MLS fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C CLUJ MEDICINA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
