Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Secueni's Iacob Anghelescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Cârlan got free with Adrian Vătăşel in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Vătăşel came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Eric Astafei. But to his dismay, Eric Astafei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 7th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Astafei to maneuver through the defense. Secueni's Adrian Vătăşel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Astafei in the 9th minute of play. Adrian Vătăşel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Vătăşel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Cosâmbescu in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Damian Cârlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Cârlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Secueni's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Şerbănescu came free, but Adrian Vătăşel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Adrian Vătăşel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th match minute, Secueni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Ianculescu to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Adrian Vătăşel managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Damian Cârlan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute Eric Astafei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Vătăşel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Secueni's Costin Ghiță got a free kick in the 31st minute. Sebastian Istodor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrian Vătăşel. Secueni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Cârlan got free with Adrian Vătăşel in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Secueni's Horaţiu Uncuţă quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Petruț Crivac, made in the 40th minute of the game. A hard shot 46 in the game by Damian Cârlan from a close distance when the talented Adrian Vătăşel managed to make a qualified save. Secueni's players were relieved. Adrian Vătăşel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Cârlan to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Istodor. Adrian Vătăşel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Cârlan's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 57th match minute, Secueni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Nichitelea to maneuver through the defense. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Adrian Bârsan was substituted for Eric Astafei. 67 minutes into the match, Calistrat Şerbănescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Vătăşel. Secueni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calistrat Şerbănescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 71st minute Damian Cârlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Vătăşel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Cătălin Cosâmbescu notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Secueni's Adrian Vătăşel. Adrian Vătăşel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damian Cârlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Damian Cârlan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Vătăşel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Adrian Vătăşel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Cârlan in the 83rd minute of play. Calistrat Şerbănescu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calistrat Şerbănescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Calistrat Şerbănescu hit a great ball. Adrian Vătăşel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Cârlan in the 88th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Secueni got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Mardare. In the 91st minute, Damian Cârlan made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Vătăşel. Secueni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 95 minutes into the match, Damian Cârlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Vătăşel. Secueni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Cârlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the referee ended the match the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
