The corner ended in Cornel Giuverdea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Nechifor Oargă did a great save. Costel Ţintă might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nechifor Oargă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costel Ţintă ran back to his position shaking his head. Costel Ţintă scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Oargă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Costel Ţintă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scorpions -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 18th minute, Costel Ţintă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nechifor Oargă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After a rather tough play, Scorpions -MM-'s Dorinel Munteanu got a free kick in the 21st minute. Costel Ţintă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Oargă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Liviu Sbârcea came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Avram Golescu could save by the left post. 26 minutes into the game, Scorpions -MM-'s Costel Ţintă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Oargă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Dan Tinu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nechifor Oargă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Ţintă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costel Ţintă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Oargă having to interfere. Costel Ţintă scored 1-6 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Oargă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nechifor Oargă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Ţintă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Pană hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
