Nicu Mincu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Răzvan Boieru went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. FC Luck's Nicu Mincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Cozorici in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Vătavu in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Luck's goalkeeper Nicu Mincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicu Mincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Stelaru in the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narcis Ţipirig. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dan Stelaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Vătavu in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicu Mincu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes of play FC Luck's Eduard Mutu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Mutu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, FC Luck's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Vătavu came free, but Nicu Mincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were awarded a corner. Eric Hulubei went to the cornerflag to take it. If Dan Stelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vlad Voican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Ţipirig in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Gavril Neicu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Manuel Cozorici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Nicu Mincu made a huge save. Nicu Mincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Vătavu in the 72nd minute of play. After 81 played minutes FC Luck got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Neicu. In the 82nd minute, Dan Stelaru made a precise shot to the right of Nicu Mincu. FC Luck's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Nicu Mincu made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Dan Stelaru sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Răzvan Boieru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicu Mincu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A collision led to FC Luck getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sandu Irimia hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC Luck's Nicu Mincu got control of the ball when Dan Stelaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gavril Neicu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
