Manuel Amânaloae started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Dan Stelaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Popescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Amânaloae could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Vlad Voican made a huge save. Albert Balint kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Adrian Spirea kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Stelaru in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurențiu Popescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laurențiu Popescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Boieru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurențiu Popescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Vătavu in the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Cozorici in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurențiu Popescu saved Alexandria Team08 from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Goma came free, but Vlad Voican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Goma in the 23rd minute of play forced MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Vlad Voican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Goma in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcu Bilașco got free with Vlad Voican in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Alexandria Team08's Adrian Spirea got a free kick in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Dan Stelaru put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Laurențiu Popescu.

The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Cozorici didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dan Stelaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurențiu Popescu was relentless in the 55th minute of the game.
