Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Mutu in the 9th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Nikulás Benediktsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Vertigo booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Comăneci didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, FC Luck's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Iftimescu came free, but Nicu Mincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicu Mincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Corcoveanu in the 21st minute of play. Narcis Ţipirig took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikulás Benediktsson. Nikulás Benediktsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nikulás Benediktsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Mutu in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match, Nistor Iftimescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nicu Mincu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Narcis Ţipirig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikulás Benediktsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silviu Bădila, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iulian Lovin during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Iulian Lovin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 39 minutes, Silviu Bădila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Luck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silviu Bădila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Narcis Ţipirig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Vertigo's Nikulás Benediktsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Narcis Ţipirig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Luck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

FC Luck's Gavril Neicu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sorin Macrea in the 55 minute of the game. Nikulás Benediktsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Huștiu in the 59th minute. When George Huștiu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the FC Luck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Huștiu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Luck booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Tirulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, George Huștiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Luck's Gavril Neicu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sorin Macrea, made in the 70th minute of the game. Nikulás Benediktsson came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Luck's Eduard Mutu. But to his dismay, Eduard Mutu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. FC Luck's Eduard Mutu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Costică Dindelegan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Vertigo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Luck the free kick. Costică Dindelegan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Panait Hațegan kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Panait Hațegan's late challenge caught a FC Luck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panait Hațegan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Panait Hațegan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Iacob Panțâru fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Luck's protests and gave Iacob Panțâru a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 minutes of play, FC Luck's Narcis Ţipirig made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikulás Benediktsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Luck's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
