Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) MIT's Dacian Corbu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vlad Anghel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Georgescu in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute of the match, Cédric Payen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vlad Anghel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Eugeniusz Mnich got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 12th minute, Dacian Corbu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Minerul Baita -MM- getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dudu Georgescu hit a great ball. If Dacian Corbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MIT's Vlad Anghel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Puișoru in the 27th minute of play. Codruț Podgoreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vlad Anghel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Podgoreanu in the 38th minute of the match. Vlad Anghel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Georgescu in the 43rd minute. Dacian Corbu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Iordache Hirean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MIT. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dudu Georgescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. MIT's Vlad Anghel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cédric Payen in the 51st minute of play. After 55 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Magnusson. 59 minutes into the game, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Dudu Georgescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vlad Anghel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Vlad Anghel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cédric Payen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 62 minutes into the match, Cédric Payen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vlad Anghel. MIT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cédric Payen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Minerul Baita -MM- booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Ciolacu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcu Voitiş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Iordache Hirean made a huge save. After 74 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Albino Claude. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Bogi Miner was substituted for Vintilă Puișoru. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Mons Vallestad replaced Rudolf Magnusson. Vlad Anghel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Georgescu in the 80th minute of play. Vlad Anghel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Georgescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the MIT defense, Dudu Georgescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlad Anghel. The MIT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlad Anghel should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the game, Marcu Voitiş recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iordache Hirean. Marcu Voitiş showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
