Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) FC Buzău's Emilian Răduța started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of SuperDepor booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Castel Prabes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu got control of the ball when Vintilă Gârniceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute, Tiberiu Zgârcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iordache Arșanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes SuperDepor got a freekick which was hit by Petru Ghiciușca. 15 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Năsturel came free, but Alex Crâșmaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Iordache Arșanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Buzincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Emilian Răduța shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Crâșmaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Emilian Răduța put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Crâșmaru. SuperDepor's Alex Crâșmaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Răduța in the 32nd minute of play. Alex Crâșmaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilian Răduța went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half FC Buzău were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Iordache Arșanu made the kick off in the second half. Alex Buzincu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Arșanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. A collision led to SuperDepor getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Victor Iorda hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match, Ilie Nasta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alex Crâșmaru saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alex Buzincu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Arșanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. SuperDepor were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after FC Buzău's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Petru Ghiciușca took the corner. Alex Crâșmaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Răduța, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. George Ţiţeica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Alex Crâșmaru made a huge save. Alex Crâșmaru made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Emilian Răduța sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored SuperDepor's protests and gave Dorin Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes SuperDepor got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Goiano. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Ionuț Năsturel got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th match minute, SuperDepor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Arșanu to maneuver through the defense. Alex Crâșmaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Răduța in the 89th minute of the match. The SuperDepor supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Buzău's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Buzău.
