An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Caragea in the 11th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Basarab Pârcălab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to BVB 09 getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lucrețiu Ogică hit a great ball. Big Blond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Moritz Kran made a huge save. BVB 09's Doru Balint managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Memo Funes in the 21 minute of the game. BVB 09's Emmanouil Kappos got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, one of BVB 09:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Carpathians's Bruno Gotti got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Moritz Kran. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Big Blond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristi Goiceanu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanouil Kappos in the 39th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Basarab Pârcălab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, BVB 09's Lucrețiu Ogică nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Pârcălab made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Moritz Kran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Gotti in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Octavian Caragea made the kick off in the second half. Moritz Kran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Iztal in the 53rd minute of play. Bruno Gotti took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moritz Kran. Moritz Kran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Lucrețiu Ogică could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Basarab Pârcălab made a huge save. Lucrețiu Ogică received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Basarab Pârcălab came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucrețiu Ogică slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Răduța came free, but Basarab Pârcălab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Pârcălab was a little too slow when Lucrețiu Ogică got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 2-4. 80 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Răduța came free, but Basarab Pârcălab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moritz Kran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Big Blond in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Qin Jun Xi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lucrețiu Ogică fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BVB 09's protests and gave Lucrețiu Ogică a yellow card for diving instead. The BVB 09 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
