The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 2 minutes, Boruc Siwek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 4 minutes into the match, KS Ruch Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Erland came free, but Witalis Bazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th match minute, KS Ruch Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Kissel to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, KS Ruch Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Trojanowski came free, but Witalis Bazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaroslaw Furtok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Boruc Siwek made a huge save. Piotr Borowski kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to KS Ruch Chorzów getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Teobald Dyczkowski hit a great ball. KS Ruch Chorzów's Jaroslaw Furtok got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Witalis Bazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Erland in the 23rd minute of the match. Michal Miazga hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of KS Ruch Chorzów booed when Lech Max was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwidon Fujara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boruc Siwek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Kissel, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Boruc Siwek came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by KS Ruch Chorzów's Jaroslaw Furtok. But to his dismay, Jaroslaw Furtok quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 46th match minute, KS Ruch Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michal Miazga to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaroslaw Furtok stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lech Max's Piotr Borowski got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 55 played minutes KS Ruch Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Kissel. 1-1 became the score in the 56th minute when Zdzislaw Maziarski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 61st minute of the match, Kajetan Klucznik tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Witalis Bazan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kajetan Klucznik in the 69th minute of play forced KS Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Witalis Bazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Lech Max's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Furtok came free, but Boruc Siwek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miroslaw Mios kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Wit Dziewedik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Siwek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Dziewedik in the 77th minute of play forced Lech Max's goalkeeper Boruc Siwek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zdzislaw Maziarski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Witalis Bazan came out and tried to block the shot, but Zdzislaw Maziarski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Borowski in the 86th minute of play forced KS Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Witalis Bazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piotr Borowski kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Zdzislaw Maziarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Witalis Bazan made a huge save. Boruc Siwek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wit Dziewedik went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The Lech Max players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented KS Ruch Chorzów from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
