In the 9th minute, Gwidon Popowicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Irons Chorzów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Wincenty Balkiewicz made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Roch Betonowy sent off a good shot on target. Wincenty Balkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Betonowy in the 20th minute of the match. Maciek Hana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Wincenty Balkiewicz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Piotr Gecionis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Łukasz Surma's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Dawid Dresik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piotr Gecionis having to interfere. Wincenty Balkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Betonowy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Śląsk Bytom players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Irons Chorzów were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Łukasz Surma made a kick off. Jedrzej Laba hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciek Hana in the 55th minute of play forced The Irons Chorzów's goalkeeper Wincenty Balkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes The Irons Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Jedrzej Laba. Wincenty Balkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciek Hana in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Maciek Hana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wincenty Balkiewicz was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwidon Popowicz got free with Piotr Gecionis in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute Napoleon Wietrzychowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincenty Balkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Śląsk Bytom's Roch Betonowy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
