Śląsk Bytom's Piotr Gecionis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by C.J. 刘备 in the 9th minute of play. C.J. 刘备 scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Piotr Gecionis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Piotr Gecionis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Okropny in the 15th minute of the match. After 17 minutes Śląsk Bytom's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benedykt Resel who took care of the corner kick. Sylwester Prosowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roch Betonowy in the 23rd minute of play. If Krzysztof Maciejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Zbyszek Ludwiczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Gecionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin booed when Śląsk Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Wietrzychowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Wietrzychowski in the 32nd minute of play forced Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goalkeeper Sylwester Prosowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute of the match, Napoleon Wietrzychowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sylwester Prosowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 58 minutes of play, Śląsk Bytom's Roch Betonowy made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sylwester Prosowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the game, Śląsk Bytom's Napoleon Wietrzychowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sylwester Prosowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 64 minutes into the game, Dobromir Parajewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Śląsk Bytom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin the free kick. A collision led to Śląsk Bytom getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Dobromir Parajewski hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Śląsk Bytom's zone, Stasio Brudzisz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piotr Gecionis came out of the goal and Stasio Brudzisz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sylwester Prosowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Betonowy in the 71st minute of the match. Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's Wasyl Percha was substituted for Ziemowit Wojtowicz. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Śląsk Bytom:s goal. Bernard Okropny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piotr Gecionis having to interfere. Sylwester Prosowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napoleon Wietrzychowski in the 90th minute of the match. If Krzysztof Maciejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
