The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michal Cupial charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Bartosz Jeziorkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Smuskiewicz in the 35th minute of the match. ATLAS Mysłowice's attack was well implemented in the 36th minute, but when Bogumil Maciejewski was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. In the 55th minute Radomir Waldoch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Jeziorkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Smuskiewicz in the 63rd minute of play forced Wariatów Kupa's goalkeeper Bartosz Jeziorkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
