The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC ZARZECZE's Hamílton Linhares quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edmund Konieczny, made in the 4th minute of the game. Thunderstorm Riders's Miguel do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Thunderstorm Riders from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Pochorylo in the 10th minute of play forced FC ZARZECZE's goalkeeper Zenon Trzemzalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Udrişte in the 13th minute of the match. FC ZARZECZE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Themistoklis Gounaris in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, FC ZARZECZE's Bogdan Udrişte got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute Zbyszko Budacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Trzemzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Thunderstorm Riders's Zbyszko Budacz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zenon Trzemzalski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bogdan Udrişte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 48 minutes into the match, Thunderstorm Riders's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Udrişte came free, but Miguel do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Udrişte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC ZARZECZE getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Teobald Wlodyga hit a great ball. Zenon Trzemzalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Budacz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Roman Frenzel hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Wladyslaw Gall fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thunderstorm Riders's protests and gave Wladyslaw Gall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Thunderstorm Riders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wladyslaw Gall to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th match minute, FC ZARZECZE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Zenon Trzemzalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Luty in the 87th minute of play. Miguel do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Matusiak in the 91st minute of the match. Teobald Wlodyga struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Miguel do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC ZARZECZE. After 95 minutes, Michal Dynda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thunderstorm Riders and the FC ZARZECZE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thunderstorm Riders's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
