The referee ignored Hannover Reds's protests and gave Ben Labigne a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Ben Labigne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlisle United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Ben Labigne scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan, making the score, 1-0. Ben Labigne struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hannover Reds. After a rather tough play, Hannover Reds's Clóvis Tróia got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Kuntz came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Carlisle United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Till Geppert was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from 洪振义. After having played for 94 minutes, Ben Labigne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hannover Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Labigne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paavo Burgdorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hannover Reds fully deserved thier win.
