İsrafil Yağız's late challenge caught a St. James Gate F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İsrafil Yağız helped the player get up and apologised. St. James Gate F.C.'s Berrigan Hunt was substituted for Finbar Martyn. After 3 played minutes FK Mintis Vilnius got a freekick which was hit by İsrafil Yağız. Barin Holt hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute İsrafil Yağız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Murphy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes St. James Gate F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugenijus Gureckas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Eugenijus Gureckas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but St. James Gate F.C.'s Todd Murphy did a great save. 10 minutes into the game, St. James Gate F.C.'s Barin Holt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lukas Kulpys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, St. James Gate F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Juodis came free, but Todd Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Todd Murphy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsrafil Yağız in the 16th minute of play. FK Mintis Vilnius's Lukas Kulpys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berchan Gollogley in the 18th minute of play. Mustafa Juodis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Motiejus Saudargis during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 22 minutes into the game, one of FK Mintis Vilnius:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 28 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Barin Holt came free, but Lukas Kulpys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Roland Prunty cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lukas Kulpys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Todd Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigitas Ivoška's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Kęstutis Skersys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute of the match St. James Gate F.C. got a corner. FK Mintis Vilnius's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Berrigan Hunt ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Berrigan Hunt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FK Mintis Vilnius's Lukas Kulpys did a great save. In the 45th minute, Berchan Gollogley made a precise shot to the right of Lukas Kulpys. FK Mintis Vilnius's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
54 minutes into the game, İsrafil Yağız cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Todd Murphy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in FK Mintis Vilnius's zone, Berchan Gollogley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lukas Kulpys came out of the goal and Berchan Gollogley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, St. James Gate F.C.'s Barin Holt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lukas Kulpys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İsrafil Yağız in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Todd Murphy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of St. James Gate F.C. booed when FK Mintis Vilnius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kęstutis Skersys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lukas Kulpys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, St. James Gate F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kęstutis Skersys came free, but Todd Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FK Mintis Vilnius's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugenijus Gureckas in the 88th minute. The corner led FK Mintis Vilnius's Eugenijus Gureckas to fire away a dangerous shot which Todd Murphy despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Lukas Kulpys had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Prunty. In the 92nd minute, Eugenijus Gureckas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. St. James Gate F.C.'s Todd Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Juodis in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by St. James Gate F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eugenijus Gureckas was slow to take the kick. During this time FK Mintis Vilnius's players had a chance to rest. The St. James Gate F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
