An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Sykes in the 7th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Tjark Ernst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Rick Hochinskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Felix Tuck. With an all-out effort, Real Chelsea's Tjark Ernst threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rick Hochinskiy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jonathon Theobold kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Hendrik Behloch took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wei Bing Ran. Real Chelsea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Real Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Prinzing came free, but Wei Bing Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Rusby to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Pascal Prinzing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wei Bing Ran was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Wei Bing Ran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Prinzing, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Wei Bing Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Prinzing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Hertha 1969's Tjark Ernst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Hochinskiy in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Gero Andersen clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. 54 minutes into the game, Felix Tuck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Chelsea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hertha 1969 the free kick. Felix Tuck kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Tjark Ernst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler Tolley in the 58th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Pascal Prinzing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hertha 1969 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jörn Achleitner hit a great ball. Real Chelsea's Louis Downs was substituted for Tyler Tolley. Real Chelsea's Howard Woodhall was substituted for Felix Tuck. Tjark Ernst stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Huey Newton's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Real Chelsea's Wei Bing Ran got control of the ball when Hendrik Behloch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Mark Stripf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hertha 1969's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Stripf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wei Bing Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Prinzing in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Will Rusby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Chelsea and the Hertha 1969 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Chelsea's Will Rusby got a free kick in the 87th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascal Prinzing got free with Wei Bing Ran in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wei Bing Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hendrik Behloch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
