Botvik FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mārcis Pripāns was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Botvik FC's Kaapro Litja managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Laimiņs Bunķis in the 12 minute of the game. Mārcis Pripāns came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jouni Läänelä could save by the left post. Aivis Bukevics received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jouni Läänelä came out and tried to block the shot, but Aivis Bukevics slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Auseklis Blitsons reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jouni Läänelä. The goal made the score 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aivis Bukevics in the 22nd minute of play forced Botvik FC's goalkeeper Jouni Läänelä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Black horses's Mārcis Pripāns made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jouni Läänelä was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pēteris Kapteinis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jouni Läänelä came out and tried to block the shot, but Pēteris Kapteinis slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 27th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Teuvo Niemelä put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Black horses booed when Botvik FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teuvo Niemelä didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Pēteris Kapteinis in the 33rd minute of play was well struck, but Jouni Läänelä made a really good save at the right post. Jouni Läänelä showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zemgus Lavrenītis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Botvik FC's goalkeeper Jouni Läänelä, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jouni Läänelä made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Zemgus Lavrenītis sent off a good shot on target. After 46 played minutes Botvik FC got a freekick which was hit by Vihtori Kaivola. After 47 played minutes, Black horses's Auseklis Blitsons shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jouni Läänelä came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Black horses reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aivis Bukevics was the one to do the kick off. Jouni Läänelä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mārcis Pripāns in the 51st minute of the match. Jouni Läänelä came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Black horses's Mārcis Pripāns. But to his dismay, Mārcis Pripāns quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 56thth minute of the game Aivis Bukevics who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botvik FC's Jouni Läänelä was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jouni Läänelä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pēteris Kapteinis in the 57th minute of the match. Botvik FC's Jouni Läänelä played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pēteris Kapteinis in the 58th minute of play. Jouni Läänelä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mārcis Pripāns in the 60th minute of play. Jouni Läänelä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mārcis Pripāns in the 63rd minute of the match. After 63 minutes, Auseklis Blitsons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black horses and the Botvik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Auseklis Blitsons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Black horses made a substitution. Ervīns Kiberkalns replaced Auseklis Blitsons. The supporters of Botvik FC booed when Black horses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Auseklis Blitsons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jouni Läänelä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aivis Bukevics in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Black horses's Aivis Bukevics nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jouni Läänelä made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The audience was convinced that Aivis Bukevics's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jouni Läänelä was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Black horses walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
