Pauli Kaarniemi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan-Aage Eklund came out and tried to block the shot, but Pauli Kaarniemi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Marius Moldskred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Jørn Dyrøy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jouni Läänelä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ørjan Moen in the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Botvik FC defense, Ørjan Moen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jouni Läänelä. The Botvik FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jouni Läänelä should have stopped the shot. If Ørjan Moen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vihtori Kaivola fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botvik FC's protests and gave Vihtori Kaivola a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Botvik FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vihtori Kaivola to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes of play, Flogo FF's Andreas Haugsdal made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jouni Läänelä was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Pauli Kaarniemi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botvik FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pauli Kaarniemi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Aage Eklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Botvik FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flogo FF were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vihtori Kaivola to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Andreas Haugsdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jouni Läänelä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Flogo FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Berre to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Botvik FC booed when Flogo FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vegard Bakke didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Teuvo Niemelä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tapani Roihuvuori kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Ørjan Moen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jouni Läänelä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Botvik FC's goalkeeper Jouni Läänelä had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Haugsdal. After a rather tough play, Flogo FF's Daniel Bakker got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 87 played minutes Botvik FC got a freekick which was hit by Tapani Roihuvuori. Andreas Haugsdal in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jouni Läänelä, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Botvik FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Flogo FF's performance. The match ended with a win for Flogo FF.
