In the 6th minute, Valdo Orumets had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harald Gjessing during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Harald Gjessing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Hristo Botev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Birger Søbstad was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Peeter Bonetti didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. 18 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goal looked a bit too open when Øivind Ensrud came free, but Peeter Bonetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilhelm Velde hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Totti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Velde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pudes Figueres hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Hristo Botev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hristo Botev struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Birger Søbstad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dundee. Birger Søbstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hristo Botev in the 43rd minute of play. If Hristo Botev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Markus Lausmäe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dundee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Lausmäe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Totti FC's Peeter Bonetti threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Øivind Ensrud, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hristo Botev to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Hristo Botev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Søbstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Dundee's Jass Enula managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kai-Arne Tangen in the 56 minute of the game. If Hristo Botev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Dundee's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edgardo Florian in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goal looked a bit too open when Øivind Ensrud came free, but Peeter Bonetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hristo Botev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Søbstad having to interfere. FC Dundee's Markus Lausmäe got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Totti FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Harald Gjessing hit a great ball. Ole-Johan Aure's late challenge caught a FC Dundee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ole-Johan Aure helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Totti FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ole-Johan Aure hit a great ball. Hristo Botev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Birger Søbstad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 79 in the game by Hristo Botev from a close distance when the talented Birger Søbstad managed to make a qualified save. Totti FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Totti FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Leon Foss hit a great ball. Peeter Bonetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Øivind Ensrud in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Totti FC's goalkeeper Birger Søbstad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hristo Botev. Birger Søbstad didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Birger Søbstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hristo Botev, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Hristo Botev reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Birger Søbstad. The goal made the score 1-3. Hristo Botev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Birger Søbstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over FC Dundee could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Totti FC throughout the match.
