The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the last second Jan-Frode Aarseth throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rimas Labutis in the 7thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when NTA19 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Westerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Kristupas Kirkutis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and NTA19's Jan-Frode Aarseth didn't even have to move. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when NTA19 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Leknes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rimas Labutis in the 14th minute of the match. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rimas Labutis, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Tronstad in the 24th minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Aldas Saulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rimas Labutis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Frode Aarseth was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 26 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Renatas Andriulis. Rune Tronstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rune Tronstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when NTA19 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Tronstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 minutes NTA19's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kristupas Kirkutis who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Rune Tronstad put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aldas Saulis. When Olof Westerlund fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NTA19's protests and gave Olof Westerlund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Olof Westerlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Rune Grøndalen took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Aldas Saulis to make any attempt to save it. 58 minutes into the match, NTA19's goal looked a bit too open when Rimas Labutis came free, but Jan-Frode Aarseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Renatas Andriulis. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Ørjan Hauger put in a rough tackle. Jan-Frode Aarseth had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Kristupas Kirkutis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Yngve Raa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldas Saulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Grøndalen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded NTA19 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Geležinis Vilkas.
