The corner ended in Roswin Schön almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Harchester United's Syd Knott did a great save. A hard shot 17 in the game by Darren Vaughan from a close distance when the talented Tim Wiese managed to make a qualified save. SV Bad Harzburg's players were relieved. Tim Wiese made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seth Sugden in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Harchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Eckard Döngelli came free, but Syd Knott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Syd Knott was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Darren Vaughan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Tim Wiese when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Darren Vaughan sped through SV Bad Harzburg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tim Wiese. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Vaughan in the 46th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eckard Döngelli made a kick off. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when Harchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rhys Philpott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harchester United's Syd Knott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Harchester United from getting a goal against them. In the 51st minute, Marc Richter reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Syd Knott. The goal made the score 3-2. The audience was convinced that Darren Vaughan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Wiese was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 61st minute, Klaus Vielhaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Harchester United got a freekick which was hit by Seth Sugden. The Harchester United fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Harchester United's Darren Vaughan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Harchester United's Robert Saville was substituted for Jonathan Nightingale. Tim Wiese stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darren Vaughan's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 78th match minute, Harchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damon Furlong to maneuver through the defense. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Vaughan in the 80th minute of the match. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darren Vaughan took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Wiese. Tim Wiese dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Harchester United fans cheered their team off the field, for while SV Bad Harzburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
