In the 9th minute of the match Leicester Foxes Academy got a corner. F.C. København's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peter Pennant ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 15 minutes, Stuart Greenfield mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leicester Foxes Academy and the F.C. København players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Leicester Foxes Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Greenfield to maneuver through the defense. Pierre Nordenkrone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stuart Greenfield in the 18th minute. 梅荣光 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Polkoski's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Matt Elliott lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 梅荣光 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hansmorten Hjaltason in the 33rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Pierre Nordenkrone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to F.C. København getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Aşır Ekici hit a great ball. F.C. København's Pierre Nordenkrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jez Alcock in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, F.C. København's Fabian Polkoski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 梅荣光 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half F.C. København were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Polkoski to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Leicester Foxes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Peter Pennant. Fabian Polkoski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of 梅荣光 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute Peter Pennant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Nordenkrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. København's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Pennant was slow to take the kick. During this time Leicester Foxes Academy's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jez Alcock in the 62nd minute of play forced F.C. København's goalkeeper Pierre Nordenkrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Pennant struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Pierre Nordenkrone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Fabian Polkoski took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for 梅荣光 to make any attempt to save it. Leicester Foxes Academy's 梅荣光 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Leicester Foxes Academy from getting a goal against them. F.C. København's Pierre Nordenkrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Joachim in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched F.C. København eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
