The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bruno Vilberg scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierre Nordenkrone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute Aşır Ekici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mart Poom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mart Poom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hansmorten Hjaltason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute of the match Uudo Vähe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pierre Nordenkrone skillfully saved the ball. Mart Poom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aşır Ekici in the 69th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Aşır Ekici cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Mart Poom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mart Poom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Polkoski in the 77th minute of the match. Fabian Polkoski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Mart Poom made a huge save. Mart Poom was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Hansmorten Hjaltason capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hansmorten Hjaltason really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. København's Fabian Polkoski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mart Poom. That made the score 1-7 after 94 minutes of play. When the match was over F.C. København could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vila throughout the match.
