Zakarias Bessermann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmantas Matulas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Saúl Gentiletti notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of F.C. København's Pierre Nordenkrone. Pierre Nordenkrone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Avram Lupoaia's late challenge caught a F.C. København's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avram Lupoaia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Žalia Giria's Avram Lupoaia got a free kick in the 12th minute. F.C. København's Pierre Nordenkrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 16th minute of play. Fabian Polkoski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilmantas Matulas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Polkoski in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilmantas Matulas saved FC Žalia Giria from getting behind. FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Polkoski in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Polkoski in the 24th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Žalia Giria's Dovydas Varnas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hieronim Bykowski, made in the 27th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 32nd minute of play forced F.C. København's goalkeeper Pierre Nordenkrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the F.C. København defense, Saúl Gentiletti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Nordenkrone. The F.C. København fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Nordenkrone should have stopped the shot. Pierre Nordenkrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saúl Gentiletti, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Vilmantas Matulas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Polkoski in the 40th minute of play. Fabian Polkoski scored 2-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vilmantas Matulas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saúl Gentiletti to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luiz Dantas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Vilmantas Matulas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Polkoski in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute Fabian Polkoski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmantas Matulas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when F.C. København was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilmantas Matulas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Polkoski in the 67th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. København's goal looked a bit too open when Ramūnas Lipskis came free, but Pierre Nordenkrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustinas Baltramaitis in the 91st minute of play forced F.C. København's goalkeeper Pierre Nordenkrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. København players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Žalia Giria.
