In the 15th minute, Mei Wei Li made a precise shot to the right of Grant Blacknell. Leicester Lions's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Glyn Everard scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theodor Adorno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jack Sharp kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of West Staines Massive booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qiu De Wen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Leicester Lions getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Patryk Plučinský hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Kong Gang Feng came free, but Grant Blacknell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Kong Gang Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Blacknell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Kong Gang Feng came free, but Grant Blacknell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leicester Lions's Grant Blacknell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kong Gang Feng in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şükür Hagi got free with Theodor Adorno in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kong Gang Feng in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Lucas Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Blacknell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Kong Gang Feng made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, West Staines Massive's goal looked a bit too open when Şükür Hagi came free, but Theodor Adorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54th play minutes Kong Gang Feng shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Grant Blacknell and just under the crossbar into goal. Theodor Adorno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Freeman in the 57th minute of play. Theodor Adorno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Freeman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mei Wei Li in the 65th minute of play. West Staines Massive's Jürgen Habermas was substituted for Wilson Costa. In the 67th minute of the match Florian Galaska shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grant Blacknell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Theodor Adorno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Freeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Glyn Everard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodor Adorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. West Staines Massive were furious when Florian Galaska was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Leicester Lions's George Pearch was substituted for Luke Deveraux. In a very dangerous position, a player in West Staines Massive fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Mei Wei Li put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Grant Blacknell. With an all-out effort, West Staines Massive's Grant Blacknell threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kong Gang Feng, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 87th minute, Camron Rhodes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leicester Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
