After having played for 3 minutes, Miltiadis Alexopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kolopetinitsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miltiadis Alexopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 9 minutes of play, K.F.MALIQI's Nertil Ktona made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikos Leontoulis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 20 minutes of play, K.F.MALIQI's Ervis Bushi made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lew Yashin came out of the goal and Miltiadis Alexopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miltiadis Alexopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lew Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fotis Papadias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tilemachos Karagiotas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lew Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nertil Ktona during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nertil Ktona hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. K.F.MALIQI's Lew Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Daskalakis in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nertil Ktona was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Kolopetinitsa getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fokas Labropoulos hit a great ball. Akis Kiakis kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 88 minutes, Fotis Papadias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kolopetinitsa and the K.F.MALIQI players grew even worse after the yellow card.
