An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Kostopoulos in the 4th minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Ennio Guidoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippo Corna succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Concetto Nicolo came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Babbis Theocharis could save by the left post. After 26 minutes, Filippo Corna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merceron United and the Amfithea Hotspur players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Concetto Nicolo put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Babbis Theocharis.
