Frank Disastro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Skyfall's zone, Ennio Guidoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Disastro came out of the goal and Ennio Guidoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Antonelli hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Cristoforo Iacomini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Di Nucci in the 10th minute of play. Frank Disastro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Conti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes of play, Merceron United's Alex De Toni made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Disastro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Emilio Conti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Skyfall's goal looked a bit too open when Ennio Guidoni came free, but Frank Disastro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Merceron United's Ennio Marcantonio got a free kick in the 28th minute. Emilio Conti hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Merceron United's Ennio Guidoni slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Disastro. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. When Skyfall's Diego Corvasce in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The shot was stopped by Frank Disastro but with some difficulty. 44 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Campana came free, but Cristoforo Iacomini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Skyfall defense, Alex De Toni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Disastro. The Skyfall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Disastro should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex De Toni made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Skyfall's Emilio Di Nucci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Iacomini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frank Disastro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex De Toni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th match minute, Skyfall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmine Caccavale to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Conti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Emilio Di Nucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skyfall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merceron United the free kick. Emilio Di Nucci kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex De Toni in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Disastro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Conti might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Disastro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Conti ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Alex De Toni in the 76th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Emilio Di Nucci received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristoforo Iacomini came out and tried to block the shot, but Emilio Di Nucci slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 78th minute. In the 86th minute Alex De Toni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Disastro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Achille Pozzoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Frank Disastro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex De Toni in the 89th minute of the match. After 90 minutes of play Merceron United's Emilio Conti was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 91st match minute, Merceron United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Conti to maneuver through the defense. Merceron United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
