Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nikos Kalkavouras took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Dimosthenis Stamatopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theofanis Marinakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Savas Stavridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ΟΦΗ booed when Atletico de Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Savas Stavridis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Kalkavouras got free with Nikolas Karkamanis in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of ΟΦΗ booed when Atletico de Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Savas Stavridis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giannis Tzanetos came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nikolas Karkamanis could save by the left post. Thanasis Vamvoukas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Madrid's Iakovos Papafotopoulos got a free kick in the 20th minute. Theofanis Marinakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marios Kailas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Atletico de Madrid booed when ΟΦΗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Prokos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theofanis Marinakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iakovos Papafotopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Babbis Prokos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico de Madrid's zone, Nikos Kalkavouras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikolas Karkamanis came out of the goal and Nikos Kalkavouras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nikolas Karkamanis made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Babbis Prokos sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 47 minutes, Giannis Tzanetos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ΟΦΗ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giannis Tzanetos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Nikolas Karkamanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Kalkavouras in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kalkavouras in the 55th minute of play forced Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Nikolas Karkamanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikolas Karkamanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kalkavouras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Karkamanis came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by ΟΦΗ's Nikos Kalkavouras. But to his dismay, Nikos Kalkavouras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 71st minute, Nikos Kalkavouras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giannis Tzanetos took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikolas Karkamanis. Nikolas Karkamanis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Nikolas Karkamanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kalkavouras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Karkamanis came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by ΟΦΗ's Babbis Prokos. But to his dismay, Babbis Prokos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Nikolas Karkamanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Kalkavouras in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Nikos Kalkavouras made a precise shot to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis. Atletico de Madrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Giannis Tzanetos came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the ΟΦΗ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Tzanetos couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that ΟΦΗ were the better team. ΟΦΗ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
