Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sakis Manousos got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Zola in the 5th minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Miltos Kyriazis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosenborg's Dario Barberio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Argyrakos in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Fortunato Zola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17th play minutes Fortunato Zola shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Miltos Kyriazis and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when Rosenborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biagio Stellato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniele Ramundo took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miltos Kyriazis. Miltos Kyriazis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 29 minutes into the game, Enrico Panino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosenborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK S.C the free kick. Dario Barberio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prodromos Banasopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miltos Kyriazis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Zola in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the AEK S.C defense, Daniele Ramundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miltos Kyriazis. The AEK S.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miltos Kyriazis should have stopped the shot. Miltos Kyriazis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florian Bulla went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The supporters of Rosenborg booed when AEK S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fanis Torosidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Rosenborg were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniele Ramundo made a kick off. AEK S.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 50th minute, when Fortunato Zola scored to the left of an out of position Miltos Kyriazis, making the score, 0-6. Fanis Torosidis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Pantelis Chatzivelos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th match minute, Rosenborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Ramundo to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Enrico Panino made a precise shot to the right of Miltos Kyriazis. AEK S.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Miltos Kyriazis came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosenborg's Florian Bulla. But to his dismay, Florian Bulla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Enrico Panino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosenborg made a substitution. Giuseppe Furino replaced Dino Cieri. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Giotis Papagiannis hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosenborg's Fortunato Zola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miltos Kyriazis. That made the score 0-9 after 74 minutes of play. Fortunato Zola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miltos Kyriazis came out and tried to block the shot, but Fortunato Zola slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 77th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Daniele Ramundo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miltos Kyriazis. Daniele Ramundo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Florian Bulla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosenborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Bulla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miltos Kyriazis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florian Bulla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miltos Kyriazis came out and tried to block the shot, but Florian Bulla slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Rosenborg's Florian Bulla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miltos Kyriazis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-13. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosenborg's Daniele Ramundo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miltos Kyriazis. That made the score 0-14 after 94 minutes of play. Rosenborg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
