Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Abdilla in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippos Serametakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adam Aquilina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Joaquin Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippos Serametakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Kurt Abdilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MICE F.C.'s Filippos Serametakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Demicoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marios Trakas in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Joaquin Phoenix notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MICE F.C.'s Filippos Serametakis. Filippos Serametakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Abdilla to make the kick off. Kosmas Spyrakis's late challenge caught a Templars FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kosmas Spyrakis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, MICE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kosmas Spyrakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind MICE F.C.'s goalkeeper Filippos Serametakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adam Aquilina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Filippos Serametakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Templars FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
