Montesacro FC's Fabiano Barillari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Montesacro FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Toninelli in the 7th minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Fabiano Barillari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Tabacco in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Beppe Zoff lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Fabiano Barillari. Fabiano Barillari was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beppe Zoff showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Robbiati in the 23rd minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Barillari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Chiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montesacro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Beppe Zoff was slow to take the kick. During this time Sorci Viola's players had a chance to rest. Ciro Di Martino hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Anfilogino Chiola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Barillari was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Fabiano Barillari made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Amerigo Toninelli sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Edmondo Bertini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Montesacro FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alex Sangermano hit a great ball. Montesacro FC's Fabiano Barillari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Chiola in the 37th minute of play. Fabiano Barillari made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Amerigo Toninelli sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Amerigo Toninelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Di Martino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anfilogino Chiola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Robbiati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Domenico Sabatino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano Barillari came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Sorci Viola's Beppe Zoff. But to his dismay, Beppe Zoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Robbiati's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domenico Sabatino was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Montesacro FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Sorci Viola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberigo Colaneri took the corner. In the 74th minute Anfilogino Chiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Barillari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Toninelli in the 76th minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Fabiano Barillari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Barillari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Toninelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiano Barillari came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Sorci Viola's Amerigo Toninelli. But to his dismay, Amerigo Toninelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When Elia Vaiani fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sorci Viola's protests and gave Elia Vaiani a yellow card for diving instead. Elia Vaiani hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Amerigo Toninelli took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Barillari. Fabiano Barillari dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Sorci Viola players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
