Villa Gordiani's Ciro Del Vecchio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Gordiani from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bebeto Queirós. In the 22nd minute, Ferruccio Gelsomini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Ciro Del Vecchio managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when A.S. In the 45th minute Ferruccio Castronovo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Del Vecchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Attilio Iob made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Gordiani's zone, Edoardo Pelati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Del Vecchio came out of the goal and Edoardo Pelati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ercole Iachini charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ercole Iachini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villa Gordiani booed when A.S. Ian Fenomeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Galante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino Zico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Antonio Simone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
