After 22 minutes, Anfilogino Tenaglia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S. Ian Fenomeni and the Sorci Viola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Ian Fenomeni from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Antonio Simone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute Sorci Viola were awarded a corner. Beppe Zoff went to the cornerflag to take it. 32 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Antonio Simone as he didn't even see the shot coming. Antonio Simone was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anfilogino Chiola showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bebeto Queirós to make the kick off. Edmondo Bertini kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beppe Zoff in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Simone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute Beppe Zoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When %teams%'s Bebeto Queirós was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-1 just inside the left pole, 66 minutes into the game. Domenico Sabatino was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferruccio Castronovo during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A.S.
