A collision led to Villa Gordiani getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ercole Iachini hit a great ball. Cristoforo Andreola, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ciro Del Vecchio was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Camillo Travaglini capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Camillo Travaglini really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ciro Del Vecchio was a little too slow when Cristoforo Andreola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 2-0. Camillo Travaglini struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ciro Del Vecchio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schuster. After a defensive mix-up in Schuster's zone, Amedeo Pompilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Costanzo came out of the goal and Amedeo Pompilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Andreola in the 22nd minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristoforo Andreola kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciro Del Vecchio. That made the score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. The supporters of Villa Gordiani booed when Schuster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Cieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Schuster's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Pompilio came free, but Emiliano Costanzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amedeo Pompilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Emiliano Costanzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by Dino Marchetti. Ciro Del Vecchio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Travaglini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amedeo Pompilio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match Filippo Del Vecchio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro Del Vecchio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Villa Gordiani's Ciro Del Vecchio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Travaglini in the 37th minute of play. Camillo Travaglini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Ciro Del Vecchio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Filippo Del Vecchio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Del Vecchio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Grande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Del Vecchio made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Camillo Travaglini sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Attilio Iob during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st minute, Attilio Iob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Travaglini came free, but Ciro Del Vecchio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villa Gordiani's Attilio Verdone quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dino Marchetti, made in the 60th minute of the game. In the 62nd match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Stumpo to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Cristoforo Andreola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro Del Vecchio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Schuster's Camillo Travaglini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Del Vecchio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 73rd minute Camillo Travaglini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Del Vecchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Villa Gordiani defense, Cristoforo Andreola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Del Vecchio. The Villa Gordiani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Del Vecchio should have stopped the shot. After 77 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Pompilio. The audience was convinced that Camillo Travaglini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciro Del Vecchio was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 85th minute Amedeo Pompilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Costanzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberigo Biscotti hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ciro Del Vecchio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Andreola in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Amedeo Scarpa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Del Vecchio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Travaglini in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Stumpo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Schuster had won after a very even match.
