An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominique Virapin in the 5th minute of play forced Sconvols United's goalkeeper Damiano Rosato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damiano Rosato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibaut Mazieres in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of Sconvols United booed when La Pointe Courte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yann Segond didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Francesco Di Sante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Fouquet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The La Pointe Courte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabri Fouquet should have stopped the shot. When Amos Cristofari came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sconvols United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Cristofari couldn't finish the play. The Sconvols United players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
